Morocco’s ABA Life signs $40 million deal with Admaius Capital Partners
Moroccan healthtech company ABA Life has signed a $40 million investment agreement with Admaius Capital Partners to scale its Mediot AI platform and international operations.
Morocco-based healthtech company ABA Life announced on 26 October 2026 that it has signed a $40 million (400 million dirhams) investment agreement with pan-African private equity firm Admaius Capital Partners. Founded in 2021 as the healthcare arm of ABA Technology, which is chaired by founder Mohamed Benouda, ABA Life develops and operates healthcare solutions combining artificial intelligence, medical technology, telemedicine, connected health infrastructure, and clinical services.
The investment will support a new phase of growth built around three priorities. ABA Life plans to accelerate its "AI for Sovereign Health" programme through its Mediot AI platform and the development of clinical intelligence solutions. The funding will also go towards industrialising and deploying the group's healthcare technologies, connected infrastructure, and services at scale, alongside accelerating expansion into international markets.
Over the past five years, ABA Life has built an integrated, profitable business model, delivering healthcare programmes in partnership with public institutions and foundations to expand access to medical services. "In five years, we have shown that a profitable healthcare technology model, able to deploy at scale, can be built from Morocco. This funding marks the start of a new phase: acceleration and internationalisation," said Benouda, adding that the company aims to become one of Morocco's next technology unicorns.
Based in Kigali, Rwanda, Admaius Capital Partners operates offices in Casablanca, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Tunis, Cairo, and London, with investments spanning healthcare, digital infrastructure, financial services, and education. Selim Ettriqui, Head of Morocco and West Africa at Admaius Capital Partners, noted that ABA Life combines medical devices, connected infrastructure, care operations, and proprietary technology developed in Morocco, while Managing Partner Marlon Chigwende cited the company's proven business model and technology foundations.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and approval from the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco. Following the agreement, ABA Life intends to develop a new generation of clinical intelligence in Morocco and take its solutions to international markets.
